Well. You know what they say about plans.   We had been planning to spend Easter with some of our dearest friends, but with AP being under the weather I think that plan is a no-go. But I went ahead and made silk tie dyed Easter eggs, which I've been wanting to do for a few years.

I was so tickled with how they turned out!

It was so simple too.  The most time consuming part was cutting apart the ties. Then I just wrapped the eggs up using some dental floss and boiled them in enough water to cover them, plus about half a cup of vinegar, for fifteen minutes. Unwrapping them was like unwrapping a present, because they definitely didn't turn out like I thought they would, based on the ties. Aaron seemed skeptical, theorizing that I might be too old. But I assured him, I'm just practicing for when we have kids.

Also, as I had been planning to take an Aaron-friendly key lime pie tomorrow, and as such already had all the ingredients, I just went ahead and started the process. Look how lovely key lime insides are?  I'll take  finished pictures and share the recipe tomorrow if it turns out.

And, my lovely friend Kelsey had given me some thyme seeds. I finally remembered to bring my potting soil over from Byland and got them started!

I managed to squeeze in another batch of scones, some laundry and grocery shopping for the week. I still have a huge pile of to-do's ahead but for now I'm going to go relax with my love.
